Well the day has come.....5-29-2010

We are at the 40 year mark today. Stefan and I have been husband and wife for that many years...YIKES where did the time go? I don't remember being HERE/THERE for that many years? Some days stand out and some I wish would not. But there are many more that I wish we could relive. No regrets, but I would love to relive those really really happy days that we have spent with family and friends. Some of those days is/are what make a memory for me.
What comes to mind of hand.......
Our Wedding day, Our first Anniversary, Stefan leaving for the Army (not a good one, but it stands out) Our move to Colorado, Suzia being born there,our move back home, Stef being born, our vacations yearly with family and friends,Our first home in Park Ridge, our monthly get togethers, Christmas parties, Suzia's marriage to Koy (I had such a blast) Our first grandchild !!! Ela being born, Julia arriving in December before one of our Christmas Party's..,Suzia and Koy tackle remodeling their house,...Stevie being born,Stefan's hospital stay for his heart 5-bypass, Stef getting married to Karen, Maddie being born,Stevie being born our First and only Maca to carry on the name (so far) that makes for FOUR Stefan's in this family..then more hospital visits for the Leukemia, long stays this time getting out and in remission,Harley Davison, and of course our little Lily, does that complete our history...not by a long shot...There are plenty more pages that have been filled with happiness we both have shared on this journey called marriage.


I just thought I would drag you down our "memory lane" for a quick visit with me. I am sure each and every one reading this has their own "memory lane" they would love to re-visit or relive. I wish you all a Happy Memorial Day and make memories, this is what you can look back on and Thank God for a beautiful life.

George K. Happy Birthday

ELA is finanlly 13 on May 28, 2010

Well the day has finally arrived May 28, 2010, TODAY Ela is 13 yes a teenager. Our first grandchild is a teenager. WOW where has the time gone???? Just yesterday (seems like it to us) I was walking the halls of the hospital with Stef. Waiting and waiting for this grandchild to be born and WOW here she is.


Happy Birthday to our Ela and STO LAT to you. May you have the day of your dreams, may all your dreams come true for you, if not today then in your lifetime. We wish you health, happiness and a lot of wealth wouldn't hurt either. Follow your heart for your dreams. Follow your family for happiness. Remember with God, all things are possible.

Fun Times at Babcia's 5-25-10

With the temperature reaching in the 90'2 for 2 days in a row now, of course the pool and the water toys were out in full force. After Maddie got out of school for the day, we headed back to my house and got the pool ready. A little break in between for a quick snack and then more water play. There was a quiet moment when we saw a butterfly close by, so close we took a picture of it.











Hot weather tires them out so quick, that they are asleep in no time when it is bedtime. Gives Babcia some time to clean up for next time.

First Place for running for Maddie 5-25-2010

This was National Gym Day at Maddie's school. After running sprinting races, the girls were separate and so were the boys, Maddie came in FIRST PLACE. She outran all the girls in her class.

Celebrating aboard the Odyssey with Brunch 5-23-10

On Sunday morning we boarded at 11:30am the Odyssey boat with Bruno and Diane. We enjoyed a wonderful brunch on board. There were breakfast items and lunch items. Waffles, eggs, bacon, hash browns, french toast, roast beef, couscous, pasta, fish, chicken nuggets, fries, yogurts and of course a lot of desserts with chocolate (my favorite things). Yes chocolate is ONE of my favorite things besides..???.. the others ,..you have to guess them.
There was a 3 piece band, they played a real mix of easy listening music.

We celebrated my birthday and Stefan's also, then Diane's birthday which will be in a few days. Also Diane and Bruno's Anniversary which is also in a few days after her birthday.
So you see, we had a lot of occasions to be on this BOAT today.
The weather was perfect in the low 80's with a nice breeze. The whole thing lasted till 2:30pm, the scenery was a pretty skyline of Chicago.

We hope to do this again ,...soon.

Mstr Jackson K. in California is 5 today 5-23-2010

Master Jackson K. is celebrating his 5th Birthday today in California. Jackson is Koy's nephew.

My Birthday on Saturday 5-22-2010

Dziadzia returned from his travels for the day, but the grandkids wouldn't let him put the bike away, without begging for a quick ride around the block.

My "cake" actually was the waffle with caramel inside, my favorite. Easier than cutting up the cake.





















































































































































































































It has been a long and fun day. I am ready for bed, mommy. Dobranoc and Happy Birthday Lily said.

The dog that Suzia and her family have ,has been with them for one year today. He still NEEDS a LOT of training. His "smile" does not make me feel good. He looks like he is growling or has a snarly face, but that is dogs for you.

ELA GOT...!!!

On Wednesday, May 12th, Ela finally joined the millions of teenagers in the much-anticipated, status-setting, pain-inducing, smile-enhancing adventure... She got her orthodontic braces!

Ela has been anxiously awaiting this day, from the first visit to the orthodontist, where she was fitted for (palate) expanders (the first step to getting braces, since her jaw was too small to accommadate her permanent teeth).

Kids today can choose the color of their bands, unlike the "old" days when I had braces, where they were just standard gray bands! Ela chose neon pink and royal blue bands for her first go round. She only got braces on her upper teeth, and she will need those for about 30 months. She will get braces on her lower teeth in about a year.

Oh, and just to add one more thing... Ela (has almost) got straight A's this trimester. If she gets all A's this period, then she will have gotten STRAIGHT A'S ALL YEAR LONG!!! YAY, ELA!!!
