Aug 3,4 & 5 Wisconsin Dells with Karen, Stef, Maddie, Stevie & Lily
We left on Friday to the Dells. Had a wonderful weather day on Friday. We stopped by the Deer Park the first thing to do. Maddie and Stevie got to feed the deer from their hands. Of course feeding them the food was never enough, we needed more coins then we had on us to get the "feed" for the deer.
After an hour or two of this we went to the hotel Pool. We stayed at this one called the Aloha Resort. Which we found out is owned by a brother of one of our friends that owns the American World Inn in the Dells.
For dinner we tried 3 different places to get in, real busy. So we drove to the Kalahari Resort and ate at the Kahunaville Restaurant. Another real crowded place, but hey! what can you expect in summer in the Dells. The lights in this place are very dizzying to eat by. Maddie had a favorite drink, anything with a cute straw.
Saturday was another weather day that we did NOT enjoy. It drizzled and rained all day, as we were in the Mt. Olympus water and theme park. This place is HUGE. Brochures say bigger than Noahs Ark.
In the evening we went to dinner at Sarento's and were joined by Ted & Nancy from Madison. We were at the restaurant from 6;30 till 10:30. Stevie enjoyed his dessert of Ice Cream the best.
On Sunday we stopped at Beaver Springs to see the fish in the ponds and then we went to visit The Cave of the Mounds near Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. Cave underground, dark, cool, wet and kids wanted to get out NOW. Walked around the gardens there and cracked rocks to see what is inside of these geodes (?) We also rode the Original Wisconsin Ducks.
We called Suzia from the gardens and sang to her Happy Birthday and Sto Lat on Sunday.
We had a great time inspite of the weather. Looking forward to doing something again together.
P.S. Sorry near the end my pictures are messed up in order of where we were. I would have to start all over, to post and sort out, but you get the picture of what we did.? Yes?
