This is such a comfortable chair in the restaurant, that I almost fell asleep in it.


We went with some friends for a ride to see the Fall Colors in Wisconsin. We were a little late, because most of the trees were bare already. I think next year we will plan on going at least 2 weeks earlier or maybe even 3 weeks.
We had stopped for lunch at Maders Restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on third street. It was Marysia's suggestion and a very good choice it was. She has been going there for some time already and they always enjoyed the food. This happened to be buffet style on Sundays'. All you can eat for $20.00. What a deal.
Marysia and Danek were in their Corvette and Johnny & Christine were in their Mustang and we were of course in our Porsche, oh wait Stefan said we were on our porch in the minivan. My mistake.
During the course of the day, the Mustang had the top down and then the Corvette had the T-Top down also, we just opened our windows.
We had left at 9;30am for our the whole day trip, which lasted till 8;45PM. It was an enjoyable day driving and looking at the sights and stopping here and there, whenever we saw something that we might want to take a better look at. The State Park was beautifully laid out. We took the Scenic Route and followed the signs thru the State Park. There were plenty of trails to be hiked and lots of scenery. Since we were all "stuffed" from our lunch, we did not stop for a picnic lunch or diner. We did stop at the Lake Forest Oasis before the trip and to finish our trip also. All the guys took turns leading the way. Having a GPS is not a gaurantee that you will get to where you WANT to go to. Unless you know what you are looking at?? The map is still the most reliable way of getting around I think.

My tough Little Cookie ....JULIA

We all thought that Julia had just sprained her thumb before the game. She insisted on not telling the coach about her thumb. She said that if he knew he would take her OUT of the game. So she played with the pain. Friday morning Suzia had taken her to the Orthopedic Dr. for an appoint and they x-rayed her hand. Julia had a dislocated hairline fracture of the right thumb. Yes she has a cast on it. The appoint. took from 10am and they got out at 2pm. Of course Julia HAD to go back to school to have the cast autographed by her friends. Then they came over for dinner so she could show us her cast. It is a bright orange, for Halloween of course. She was just in a little pain she said after dinner, so they went home to give her some more Ibuprofen for the throbbing. My tough little cookie got crumbled...just this once....for now........

After Julia's game

After Julia's game was finished , the cheerleaders from the sideline decided to give it a try on the field. Stevie & Stevie tackle Maddie for the ball. Daddy Steve is the main ball keeper (?). Lily takes her try at shooting a goal against Maddie and almost wins, but Maddie is a good goalkeeper.
So much for the fun tonight, have a great evening yourself.

Julia's soccer game 10-14-2010

Julia is one of 4 girls that plays soccer on this team.
Boy! Does she get around though. Julia is one tough cookie on this team. Yes her team had won this game, but I think they don't keep score?? Wins and loses. Julia is number 12 red shirts.
Of course Babcia and Dziadzia and Wujek Steve and her cousins , Maddie, Stevie and Lily were there to cheer her on, as was her mama, Suzia. Ela was at her own volleyball game at an away game.

Sandbox Fun Oct 14, 2010

Stevie & Lily wanted to play in the sandbox in the neighborhood park. Babcia only had an 9x12 pan and a few essentials for sandbox play. But that worked just fine for Stevie and Lily. Hey when the weather is warm then whatever you do outside is fun for them.

Having someone to help with the leaves is always appreciated. But on some days gathering of the leaves takes on a new meaning. Having fun with the leaves is more FUN. There was plenty of help available .
