PIG PEN Mud Fight Sat 8-27.2011

Would you pay to have your kids and grandkids get DIRTY???? Well we did and we had a blast. Suzia and her kids and myself went to the Oswego Park District, they were having a one day mud fight.
We decided to go "see" and pay the $5.00 to "fight". It was well worth it to get IN the mud and have fun. Rinsing off in the cold water was not, but that's besides the point of having fun. After we got cleaned off we met Dziadzia for more fun. See next post we went to see the Fabyan Villa.

As you can see from the pictures, the kids Ela, Julia, Stevie and Suzia had a lot of fun.....

Fabyan Villa Aug 27, 2011

After getting cleaned up from the mud fights we (Suzia, Ela, Julia Stevie and myself) met Dziadzia for lunch at Denny's. Then we drove to the Fabyan Forest Preserves to view the grounds and the Villa. It is located in Geneva on the Fox River.
They have a beautiful Japanese flower garden on the premises. In the Windmill there is a coal burning stove that the Lady of the Villa had 120 loaves of bread baked daily for her 2 captured bears.
We spend a wonderful time exploring the grounds and learning some history as well.
The Windmill does operate on certain days. Check the schedule first.

July is gone 2011

Seems we were so busy that JULY just passed us by. Here it is August and new things to celebrate and do. I will try to post our pictures from our vacation up north from Suzia and Koy's cabin.
