We went to the Enchanted Castle for the Light the Night (Leukemia) Kickoff. They had a celebration for the "walks" that are planned for this year. It was a big party for families and friends and kids especially. We had pizza, salad, dessert and drinks and then of course we "did" the castle fun part. Stefan and myself had all 6 of our grandchildren to ourselves and we had a ball in the Jungle Gym Maze. Babcia was inside as usual following and chasing them all. Dziadzia even got on the motorcycle rides with Pan Maca. Lily chased and scared us with the funny little faces she made at us. My friend Debbie & Joe came along as they brought their daughters Ashley and Jessica to join in on the fun.

We had a terrific Birthday Party on Sunday afternoon. Even though it rained some in the morning, we had a really fun day to celebrate their 4th Birthday. Lauren and Alex G. are 4 years old. Andy and Belia did a terrific job hosting this party. The blow-up jumping castle was the best any kid could ask for at a party. The 2 Pinata's were also a big hit with the kids.

What a beautiful day we had 6-19-08

The weather was just perfect and all. Suzia dropped off her Stevie and got to extend her wishes for Karen on her Birthday today. Karen first went to renew her driving license, while I played with Maddie, Stevie, Lily and Suzia's Steve at the local park nearby. Then we went to Elk Grove to the Pirates Cove for a few hours. We were surprised by Steve getting out of work early and joining us for the day's activities. What a wonderful place for kids under 11-12. We had a great time at the Cove for a few hours. They went on slides, burlap slides, paddle boats, choo-choo trains, carousels rides, climbing walls, stage plays, bumper cars, spiderwebs to climb on, even had lunch there by the big pirate ship. Then it was time to go to a waterpark so we went to Glen Ellen. Steve & Karen were there last week for a Birthday party and said it would be fun and it was FUN.

In Glen Ellen there is a water park that was just fantastic for the kids as was the playground surrounding the waterpark/splashpad. A big sandbox as well as the usual playground stuff. There was a zipline for the kids and adults alike. The adults (Like Babcia, Karen and Steve) would bang there butts on the ground on the way back. The spider/monkey jungle climb was way up there, about 15-18 feet up in the air. Maddie and Stevie (Kolega) had no problem climbing it up with no shoes on. We splashed others and got splashed ourselves. Lily got to cool off herself by pouring water on herself. Steve got Karen in the water also. We played there till it was time for dinner.

We were joined for dinner by Dziadzia at Ruby Tuesdays.

The day ended with us all singing Happy Birthday and Sto Lat for Karen outside in the parking lot in the grasslot next to Ruby Tuesdays.

Our poor little Lily only had a nap consisting of 15 mintues for the whole day. ( She usually has a total of 2-3 hours), but she is a real trooper and continued to have fun all daylong.

OOOPS all this and we had no cake for Karen to blow out candles today. I guess maybe she would be tooooo winded to blow them out to celebrate her 30th. Oh wait!!! that was me I was thinking about blowing out so many candles that it would make ME winded.

Want to see the New house of Suzia & Koys?

Us too. We will be driving up to Upper Penninsula, Michigan for the July 4th weekend to see it. I will get some pictures from Suzia's camera that she took up there. She only took close to 900 pictures if not more. Yes I wrote nine hundred. You know with this digital technology, why NOT?

Ela & Julia are at Camp 2008

Suzia & Koy drove the girls up to Lake Geneva area for Ela & Julia to go to camp for the week. Julia was really excited because this year she was going to stay all week. Unlike last year she was only allowed to stay for 3 days. So Stevie and Suzia (mama) and daddy (Koy)are bonding this whole week.
Camp will be done by Saturday. They had to be driven there and then picked up. There will be a program at the end of the week for the parents to see. The whole family will return by 9pm next Saturday.

One month already 6-16-08

Yes Stefan took his "Baby" Harley for its one month or should I say one thousand mile check-up. He had 1244 already since he brought home this baby. He is so in love with IT. I think if he could bring it in the house he would for the night. (Only kidding).

I followed him to the dealer so he would have a ride home. Should be ready/done by Friday. How could he leave his baby for sooo long away from home?

FATHER's Day Wishes 6-15-08

I presume all you Fathers had a terrific day to celebrate your special DAY. To remind us all that to be grateful for your own fathers, and to be grateful for you guys that are fathers. Where would we be without our fathers help along the way in life? We all have our favortie memories of our fathers, dads, tatas , this would be a great time to have one of those flashback moments of those memories.

Our friend Stas is home as of 6-7-08

Stas (Jajc) came home from the Nursing/Rehabilitation Home last Saturday. He has been gone from home for almost 2 1/2 months. I talked to him and he is doing fine, not GREAT but fine. A friend of his watched his dog at his house for hime while he was recuperating from this ordeal. His siste Donna has been a great help to him also during this time.
I told him that we (his friends from long ago) wished him a very speedy recovery and to get back on the ball of "life".

I attended a wonderful Baby Shower for Eva and Mike, Jadzia's daughter on Saturday. It was held at Mike's moms in Algonquin.
Dziadzia Marek was there also as was Wujek Antos and Auntie Kathy. Jadzia got to play with Christian and Justynek her grandsons.
Also visited with friends like, Gosia K., Chris J., and Jadzia's sisters.
Eva is due on July 3, 2008. She will be having another son.

June 4, 2008 Diane & Bruno go to....

Diane and Bruno and Diane's parents flew to Florida. They went to enjoy their grandaughters 2ns Birthday. They also celebrated Diane's Birthday and Paul's and to see Bridget, Diane's sister.
It was a wonderful time together with family. Payton has grownup so much in the last few months it is hard to keep up with her. She enjoys talking on the phone to her Bafa (Babcia). Diane's parents enjoyed seeing their great granddaughter Payton also and seeing their Grandchildren Lauren and Kristen.
They will be returning on Monday June 9.

They RETURNED Suzia & Koy

Monday morning around 7:30 AM Suzia & Koy had returned from their trip of building their summer cabin UP North. Needless to say Ela, Julia and Stevie were delighted to see mama and daddy. Ela had a field trip today going to Great America. She waited till to see mama and daddy before leaving to go to school this morning. Koy looked good in his unshaven state, and Suzia looked very tired in dire need of sleep. Afterall they drove all thru the night to be home in time to see the kids before school time. After the kids went to school, they took hot showers and a little nap before continuing the daily unpacking process. I made dinner for them and left their house to go home at around 4PM.


Julia had a softball game tonight at 6pm, Ela returned from Great America at around 7pm, then I presume correctly that everybody was in bed sleeping by 8:30PM.
