38 years and counting 5-29-08

Today Stefan and I celebrate 38 years of our Wedding. Unfortunately he is there and I am here. This is only the 2nd time in all our years that we are not together physically. Ten years ago I drove to Detroit to see my nephew, he had had a boating accident and was in ICU. This time I am at Suzia's house watching the kids and between field trips and class functions and his dentist appoinments today, it does not seem likely that we will get to see each other today. We did talk briefly though this morning. Happy Anniversary to you.

Happy Birthday George 5-29-08

Stevie K. Field Trip 5-28-08

The field trip was to the Lake View Nature Center in Oakbrook. Stevie's class consists of 16-18 kids. There were 5 chaperones and 2 teachers. It was to explore a pond and hands on feeling all of the creatures that live there in the park area. The feeling part was of not-live things but the skeletons and skins only.
Then we went for lunch and to the park and had Karen and Maddie, Stevie & Lily join us at Madison Meadows. We played in the park till about 2:55, then Babcia had to go home because Ela would be coming home from school.
More fun in the evening at Julia's softball game and Pizza in the park.

Ela BirthDAY 5-28-08

Today we celebrated again Ela's birthday. At Julia's softball game we had pizza and spaghetti in the park. I brought whatever was needed for us all to eat at the park. Dziadzia came after work as did Steve. Karen came with Stevie and Lily. Maddie was with me from the afternoon visit to Madison Meadows. We woke Ela up with a quick picture of her sleeping. Julia had made crescent dough into "Names" for Ela and herself to eat. Suzia & Koy called and sang to her this morning which brought tears AGAIN to Ela's eyes. She opened some more presents again from Babcia and then it was off to school.
Babcia was of to a field trip with Stevie and his class this morning. Next blogger.

Ela Birthday party # 2 Tuesday 5-27-08

I told Ela that she could have a few of her girlfriends over on Tuesday for a Pizza party. She invited 4 but only Gloria, Mia and Izabel came over right after school at 3;15pm. They goofed around, ate pizza and cake, then went outside and played around the yard. They danced to some LOUD music, opened presents , then went on the swingset outside, played 4square ball, chased each other around till 6:30pm. Party over. Izabel's mom picked her up and took Mia home also, Gloria lives across the street.
The party for her friends was on Tuesday so we would not miss Julia's softball game on Wednesday on her real Birthday.

Memorial Day:/: Ela Bth party # 1

We celebrated Memorial day with family. Had a ham dinner instead of the BBQ I was planning on. The weather was quiet humid, like in the upper 70's. Bo went out of town, my mom Babcia Zosia came alone and then did some planting for me, Daniel had plans to go motorcycling with friends. Diane & Bruno came in seperate cars, because Bruno was working today and Diane picked up Babcia Hela.Our neighbors Basia & Pete came to celebrate with us today's events. Karen & Steve came with Maddie, Stevie & Lily and also Ela, Julia & Stevie, they were spending the night at their house last night, because Stefan and I went to Mikey & Mollies's wedding.
Suzia called at present opening time so Ela opened up the present from mama and daddy that was mailed to our house earlier. Of course she cried and cried during the phone call, as did Julia. They miss their parents a lot and they still have till Saturday to go with me. Here are a few pictures of the PARTY on Monday.There was the bean toss game, we walked "our babies in the strollers", we played outside with whirly-flying discs,(see Pete holding a pink one in his hands) on the swingset, helped dziadzia "look" at his motorcycle. (He actually was putting on a backrest for himself)

SPECIAL THANKS go to Diane & Basia for helping make the party a success. It needed to cleaned up and be done by 7:30 p.m. after the party so I could go with Ela, Julia & Stevie back to their house for the night. (School the next morning Tuesday). It was cleaned-up fast.

A week of WORK and house is looking

Suzia and Koy and their 3 of their friends have been out in Michigan for a week now, building their house. These are some pictures of their progress.



They will have an awesome view of the lake when they look out their front door. More details will come from Suzia when they let me know them.
So far Ela, Julia and Stevie miss them a lot, but they are busy with their school work and Babcia keeps them very busy also.

Sat 5-24-08 PLAYTIME

I went with Ela, Julia & Stevie to Steve & Karen's for the afternoon to have fun with all 6 of my grandkids. We went to the local playground and this is what we all DID. After the park playground we had dinner from Chili's and Mc D. Got back to my house around 9pm.
