The REAL Trick or Treating on Oct 31, 2007

We went out with the grandkids on Wednesday for the annual walk with them for Trick or Treating. We had a quick light dinner BEFORE going out, so as to fill the kids up on good food, not the candy. But you know just as well they did eat a lot of the candy on the walk. Stefan came from work earlier to eat and then for the walk. He didn't want to miss this TREAT. Steve, Karen Maddie, Stefciu & Lily met at Suzia & Koy's house, we ate there and then went walking. We left at 4;45 and came back at 7p.m., to have some more dinner and of course hot chocolate. Koy stayed home to pass out the candy at his home, he was dressed as Darth Vader. He also watched the dinner that was in the oven. Yes the kids were starting to get tired and at one point Stevie said, I don't want any more candy. I want to go home now. Lily was happy just to sit in her costume and watch all the other kids go up and down every driveway and ring the doorbells to get candy or treats.Maddie wanted to ring every doorbell herself, but we said we have to take turns. We had plenty of light/glow sticks to make sure we were SEEN. But as you can see from the pictures Dziadzia got tired along the way (not really) and they took turns pulling him in the wagon.
Hot chocolate with marshmellows tasted great as the weather turned a little cooler by evening time. Still a great day, no rain or snow. So you go and figure out who was what, these were the costumes we were dressed in, Mrs. Roper, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Thumper, A Rock Star, A Unicorn, A Fireman, Kimono Lady, Beer Keg, Raggedy Anne and just a plain Dziadzia.

Happy Halloween/BTH PARTY 10-20-07

After the Baby Shower I drove back with Diane to Steve and Karens' home to celebrate the triple Birthday Party celebration. It was a Halloween theme. In costumes were the kids Maddie-Tinkerbell,Stefciu-Pirate and Lily a Bears-Cheerleader of course, as were Karen-the Wench, Steve the Beer-Keg, Suzia-Hot Lady Devil, Ela-Pumpkin Princess, Julia-Hawaiian Vacation Girl, Stevie-the Knight, Shaun-the Dark Forces, Kevin, Alex-Teletubby, Lauren-Teletubby, Daniella-Mrs.Roper from 3's Company, Andy G. the Scarecrow, Tony-the Soccer Coach, Tammy the Bears Fan, Ashley-LittleMissDevil, Sydney,Alyssa the Unicorn and Ken-the-Vacation guy.

The smallest "Bears Cheerleader" fell asleep in Grandma's arms during the PINATA.

There were pumpkins to be decorated, a Pinata to be broken into, there were games and puzzles to be solved, there was food (plenty of it) to be eaten and presents to be opened and played with, a jumping pit to jump in around in, drinks to be drunk and of course to talk to family and friends as we all enjoyed being together.

GO FLY A KITE Sunday 10-21-07

OKAY I tried 3 times to post pictures and they are having problems letting me post them. So for now you just have to wait for them., I got only these 3 pictures.

Well somebody once said that, GO FLY A KITE and I think I just decided to do it, I did go and fly a kite. I went kite flying with Ela, Julia Stevie and Suzia. We had 2 kites, but we just could not get the BIG one up. The smaller kite (I bought that one for Koy for their wedding shower) (Go figure a mother-in- law buying a gift like that for her future son-in-law-?) went up in no time. Matter of fact it was a one person job to get the kite up and it did. The other one we kept trying and trying to get it up. It would get up a few feet and then crash right down on us, taking a nosedive. Oh well it was a beautiful weather day in October. Julia wore her bathing suit top, the temperature was a balmy 80 and very windy. Koy was at home watching the BEARS,..... yes they won. Yahoo. Back to our kite flying, after we got the one up, Stevie flew it for a while as did Julia and Ela. It took a while to crank it back down to earth.***/

We stopped by the playground near the park and had some time to go on the slides and things. Yes that is Babcia on the "Butt slide " as we call it. Those rollers really do not feel that good on your butt as you slide down, but it was fun for the grandkids to see their Babcia on a slide.

Baby Shower Amy & Matt

I had a wondeful time at the Baby Shower for Amy & Matt that was on Saturday October 20, 2007. They are so excited about all the gifts that they received for their baby that probably will be arriving in early December.

Babcia-to-be Basia and Dziadzia-to-be Maciek were both very excited. (Dziadzia came to fix a flat tire for his daughter Renee.) The table arrangements were made by a friend Grace, they were beautiful. Pra-Babcia Wladzia was present at yet another one of the showers for her great -grandchildren. The family, the cousins and family friends were all there for support of the new baby to come.
