Dupage County Fairgrounds 2007

Suzia and Ela, Julia & Stevie and Babcia went to the Dupage County fair. The weather was a little drizzly but nothing that would stop us from enjoying the fair rides. The ground was a little muddy from the night before, it poured here. But fun we did have. We enjoyed also eating the hot dogs, hamburgers, ice creams and other goodies. Julia got to milk a cow (Ok the cow was not real, but she got to practice just in case she encounters a real one someday).
Steve got to make his own rope that could be used to tie a calf in case he tries that sport or just for rope jumping also.

Ela and Jula were the daredevils again this year and tried the flying airplane ride together. Bumper cars were also driven around. Mama and Babcia just watched and enjoyed seeing the faces with delight at this fair.
We did get to pet some animals like, goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, cows and ponies. Ela complained only about the smell at these fairs.

Having fun at Babcia & Dziadzia house

Miss Lily is standing up herself already. (She is in fact now almost 8 months in a few days.) Julia loves to help feed Lily. The tree across the street looks very good to climb on, whenever Babcia lets us go across the street.

Hey look!!!!! there is a big bug in the grass over here.

Wed: Cosley Zoo & Oasis Pool Park District

I went with the kids to the Cosley Zoo (Free entrance)in Wheaton and then we went to the Oasis Pool in Bloomingdale,(not expensive at all) Suzia, Ela, Julia, Stevie,Karen Maddie, Stevie and Lily joined me as we spend the day together having fun. The weather was just perfect for walking around the Zoo.
We had lunch at Karen's home and then for a quick change of clothes to the pool. (P.S. we left the house a mess after our quick lunch, but she did not mind it)

The sun came out for the afternoon for us to play in the water park. This park had just the right amount of playthings to do to keep them ALL busy.
The water slides, the jungle gymleap pad to cross,(Ela is on it holding the ropes on top and Julia is in front of her) the "O" depth pool entrance, you see Suzia in not afraid at all of the water and trying to get Pan Maca to come in also by getting the pool balls wet for him. Suzia & Karen had fun in the tubes as well. Having Ice Cream when it is hot is great. Water guns of all sizes to get others wet.
Suzia had time to catch a few minutes to read her Harry Potter book.
We capped off the evening at the Koivuns house for dinner "Tacos", one of the family's favorite. Miss Lily was trying to figure out the skateboard, as Ela was on the Porch swing.
Steve came to join us for the Tacos, and then Suzia had to go to work.
By early evening, I would say that all were pretty tired and ready for bed.

POPRAWINY next day after Wedding Tony & Amy

Irena & Wes hosted a party at their house, a (poprawiny in Polish) finish up the partying the next day kind of thing.

It was a great sucess, the Ice sculpture, Irena had to try it out as did the little guys Pan Maca.

You don't know what an Ice Scupture does???? well it has these "rivets-ice troughs" that you pour in your preferred liquor and wait for it at the bottom of the sculpture and it is ICED cold. Really good and cold, Like example Vodka on the rocks. Most of the family and guest members enjoyed the day partying the night away
From playing bean bag toss, to talking with friends.

Amy and Anthony were leaving for Hawaii the next morning. To recuperate (Oh yeah).

Visiting POLAND in June 2007

Basia, Maciek ,Renee, Mikki and Katie visited Poland in June and here are some of the pictures that Basia wanted to post for you to see.

Carriage ride in Zakopane (that’s the 90 meter Olympic ski jump in the background). Maciek in the driver’s seat. He’s hoping this could be his job during retirement.

Morskie Oko – check out the reflection of the mountains in the water – beautiful sight.

What a gimmick!! I am collecting for a sausage or two.

Maciek climbing to top of Giewont. He’s still got it! Of course, Basia stayed behind.

In front of the house Basia was born in.

Girls on tip of Giewont in Zakopane. If you are afraid of heights, you’d never make it! Pretty scary up here.
