3 Years ago in 2003

Yes it has been 3 years ago that I got rid of our Black Van. Doesn't seem that long ago. I miss driving that big black "home" around town. But I must say that this Mini-Van is great for driving around our 5 Grandkids. The sliding doors are one terrific idea to have on a vehicle. I had one on my Red Van, remember?

Summer happenings, June 19

Okay, so we should post our summer news here?

Well then... this week, here's what's new.

We drove Ela up to camp on Sunday. You can check out what's going on there at the website www.covenantharbor.org - on the home page, click on the button that says "Kish Blog" to read the counselors' posts. Or check out the pictures in the gallery... Kish Photos. You'll need the password to view the pictures, and that is: unseen06. That's "zero-six" at the end there, and all the letters are lowercase. You can purchase pictures from Shutterfly, if you find any you like.

Looks like they had fun Sunday night at the mixer. There are a bunch of pictures of Ela - playing basketball and jumping in the moon jump. Check them out!

I'm getting busy setting aside all sorts of stuff that we'll be packing to take up north. Stuff from sleeping bags to lanterns, from bug spray to an outdoor/wilderness first aid kit. I also have to pare down my kitchen items to the essentials. Looks like I'll have to leave my espresso machine home! (Just kidding... I've never actually had an espresso before!)

Julia's been bugging me to go on a "bike ride" - and not just around the block. Looks like I may have to take down my bike and hook up the Burley for Stevie and go for a ride this week.

Ummm... What else is new?
Oh... Koy mowed the lawn yesterday. Does that count as news for you? Ok. Guess not. It's not like it's anything new... I mean, he's done it before and he'll do it again!

Father's Day was fun, if you count driving in the rain for two+ hours fun. And Koy got a deck recliner... which is actually pretty comfy to sit in. I "borrowed" it yesterday afternoon while the kids were playing outside... I can see spending quite a bit of time in that chair while I watch the kids play this summer!

SUMMER NEWS to all

Hah.... so you thought you would find out something new here.... Well I was hoping to hear from YOU ALL about what you are doing this summer.

In my family this the news:

Karen is doing fine with this pregnancy; she is due in December 2006. (She also has a birthday coming up next week...)

Stefan M Maca is still looking for a job, taking care of Maddie & Stefan.

Stefan J Maca (the smallest of the Stefans) is standing and crawling around pretty much everywhere, has three teeth.

Maddie has finished her swim classes as has Ela.

Ela is going to summer camp for a week, leaving 6-18-06.

Julia finished her gymnastics class.

Stefan T Koivun is learning to be a big help to his daddy around the house.

Stefan S Maca (the oldest of all the Stefans) is enjoying himself going for motorcycle rides with Andy B. & Danek & John P. Trips like to Galena, Lake Geneva etc. Lake Shore Drive. And when he's not busy biking, he's busy golfing. Or having fun watching the wnuczki play at our house.

Koy is keeping up the around the house chores, grass cutting, putting up and taking down the canopy for party here and party there.

Suzia is tending to her garden and deserving a good rest all to herself since she's been busy with her in home guests, her inlaws.

Suzia Koy Ela Julia & Stevie (and Koko) will be leaving end of June to go to their lakefront land in upper Michigan for 10 days.

Daniella is trying to post stuff for all to read, as you guys only read this stuff and don't post. Hey Stefan & I had our first date on 4th of July in 1967, in case you were wondering.

Diane should be returning from Florida after seeing Payton being born and bonding with her for a few days.

Bruno was there also and returned to go back to work and golf.

Twins Alex & Lauren will be turning 2 years old soon.

Michelle & Andy will be celebrating their anniversary soon too.

Janette & Paul are enjoying their daughter of a few days Payton.

Celebrating their First Anniversary in July will be Stevie & Denise Jankowski.....

When I think of more I will post....for now I am hoping I can read something about you and your family. Any takers to post ?????? Notes or pictures are welcome.
